The Real Estate Development Fund enhances beneficiaries’ ability to own homes by depositing 1 billion riyals for September
The Real Estate Development Fund announced the deposit of more than 1.036 billion riyals into the accounts of beneficiaries of the Housing Support Program for September 2025, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing.
The Fund explained that the deposited amounts were allocated to cover the profits of various housing support program contracts, as part of efforts aimed at enhancing the financial capacity of beneficiary families and enabling them to own suitable housing, in line with the objectives of the Housing Program, one of the initiatives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The Fund confirmed its continued development of innovative financing solutions in partnership with financing entities and real estate developers, with the aim of facilitating the ownership journey for beneficiaries and expanding their financing and housing options in accordance with best practices.
It is worth noting that the Real Estate Development Fund provides its services electronically through its digital portal, in addition to the "Real Estate Advisor" service that allows beneficiaries to design their housing support programs according to their needs, and to obtain the most suitable financing and housing consultations and recommendations.

Saudi Arabia licenses 195 new real estate projects in 2024… with total investments reaching 500 billion riyals
Mohammed Al-Qarnass, Executive Director for Enabling Real Estate Development at the General Real Estate Authority, revealed that investments in real estate projects licensed for off-plan sales in the Kingdom exceeded 500 billion riyals, distributed over 415 projects during the past two years.
Al-Qarnass explained, during his participation in a session titled "Real Estate Market in the Middle East" at Cityscape Egypt Summit, that 195 projects obtained off-plan sales licenses in 2024, while licenses were granted to 220 additional projects from the beginning of this year until now.
He pointed out that 60% of the real estate projects currently under implementation in the Kingdom were licensed during the past two years, which reflects the level of support the real estate sector enjoys from regulatory authorities and reinforces its role as one of the main drivers of economic development.
Al-Qarnass affirmed that the real estate development sector in the Kingdom is witnessing accelerated expansion due to the market’s attractiveness to local and international investors, noting that the Kingdom continues to work on developing the legislative and regulatory environment to keep pace with sector growth and support its sustainability.

Al-Hogail: Increasing registration of undeveloped land reflects the success of grants and avoidance of fines… billing begins in January
Majed Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities and Housing, confirmed that real estate grants are proceeding normally compared to previous years, noting that there are reverse grants where some owners re-register their lands in the system to avoid undeveloped land fees, which he considered a clear indicator of the program’s success.
Al-Hogail explained, in statements to Al-Ikhbariya channel, that the current phase’s registration rates of the undeveloped land fees program far exceed those recorded in the first phase, reflecting a higher level of awareness and compliance among taxpayers. He added that the registration period ends in October, with billing to start in January.
He clarified that the program’s dedicated call center communicates directly with landowners and taxpayers to ensure registration procedures are completed and to help them avoid penalties for delays.
It is noteworthy that the Council of Ministers approved last April amendments to the undeveloped land fees system, and the new executive regulations came into effect in August 2025.
